Cohen Dustin McGee

We are so happy he is finally here. My mom had taken my little brother to provo for a dentist appointment and I assured her before she left he was not coming that night. She left making me promise to call her if the contractions got eight minutes apart. My dad was also flying in that night from Chicago. I told him before he left that our little boy was waiting for him to get back, SO sure enough...
I went into labor at around 10:30 on Wednesday night. I have had contractions all along so I thought it was just another night, until at 11:30 they got stronger and closer together. I kept telling Dustin call my mom... no wait.... no call her... no wait... By this time I had a strong contraction every five minutes with two small contractions in between. So needless to say we called her, and my dad, and they both drove in the middle of the night to get here.
We got back to our room at around 1 am, and I think the nurses thought I was not serious until they discovered I was already at a 7. There were problems with my blood work and the anesthesiologist, so needless to say I almost didn't get the epidural. By the time everything was figured out I was an 8 1/2. Luckily they gave me the epidural and then about an hour later I was complete. But.... it took another 6 hours to get him here. It is all kind of a blur between pushing and throwing my guts up but... I really would say he is DEFINITELY worth it all.
Cohen was born at 10:48 am on August 20, '09. He weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

Dustin's Graduation

Dustin graduated in May, we drove out from Roosevelt for the last three weeks of school twice a week. It was a long three weeks but well worth it. I am so proud of him!

Attempt #1 at pictures...
